Sam Dobson grew up in the suburbs of Philly, so yes, she does call everything a ‘jawn.’ She began her journey as an actor at age 11 after seeing “Newsies” on Broadway, completely dumbfounded that acting was *in fact* a real job. She became enamored with the idea of telling stories and deepening the human connection through art.
She’s been busy training in film, television, and theater across the country, studying with Ted Sluberski, Anthonty Aibel and at Growing Studio in NY; Warner Loughlin Studio and Grey Studios in LA; and Walnut Street Theater in Philly. She currently studies privately with Gloria Garayua (Netflix’s Maid, How to Get Away with Murder).
She recently was invited to a director session callback with Jon M Chu for Nessa in Universal’s Wicked films and booked a co-star on a Disney+ show.
As a queer, disabled (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) actress , Sam wants to create space in the industry for people from all walks of life to tell their stories authentically.
When she’s not acting she’s likely crafting her newest cosplay, hanging with her Pekingese, Percy, or running around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with a lightsaber.
